Oh absolutely dangerous. I put my tickets in for all 3 watches, but was mainly interested in SD43. The other watches, had I won, would have gone to more deserving people on this forum. I don't think I can resell and make money off of a watch if my life depended on it. Kinda lucky didn't won any... would have been a sticky situation with the wife, to say the least.

I have a feeling this was their main event with no such event for Walnut Creek store, but I could be wrong.

Coke, champagne, red wine, beer, sweets, but most importantly company of other Rolex fans and being in the presence of so many nice watches worn by various people.

In the other thread, the o.p. there suggests these were accumulated over time for this event. I wouldn't know either way. I missed last year's event (invited but missed it, I was out of town on a trip I guess) and if I remember correctly they were telling me after the fact that there was similar number of Daytona's in that event (3 to 5 or so.)

All the best to you and your new watch, wear it in good health!

I originally had my pictures and post added to your thread, but I immediately removed them and started this as a separate thread, didn't want to dilute your celebratory thread.

Wow at first I read it as they were giving away all these watches haha. Interesting idea a raffle to be able to spend your money to buy something at full retail :). Amazes me that the demand in the Bay Area is so high as it seems everyone is wearing an Apple now lol.

I was invited to this event, so sad I couldn't make it. Thanks for taking pictures and sharing. Maybe I'll meet you at the next one!

Thanks.

Yes a very good problem for Rolex, and the lucky ADs that can get their hands on these hot items. I know from connections to car industry in the past how nice it was/is when a hot new car gets allocated to the dealership.

Thank you. With all you enablers out there, I have no doubt I will see one on my wrist sometime in future (perhaps not so near future, but sometime nevertheless.)

Sorry for misleading 'raffle' and 'win' words. Couldn't think of an alternative.
Bay Area is a different beast on its own. Relative to housing costs, everything else looks 'cheap' and 'reasonably priced'. A recent home buyer around here is paying a daytona or two in property taxes every year. In comparison, buying a Daytona for yourself that you get to keep for life is a non-issue.

Hi Faz, it was nice too see you and fun to hang out at the "rafftle" event.
It was my 1st time at this type of event at the AD even I was invited before, I came to primarily check out the SD43 and was not interested in Daytona C as I've just recently gotten one from the same AD, nor the SS Sky Dweller (not my cup of tea). I thought would not get anything but luckily the last winner of the SD43 gave me his ticket even someone offered to buy it from him. So soon enough I will get the new 50th Anv SD to match with my 50th Anv Sub. Yay! My collection is complete for now.

I am sorry I don't know how/who people would be invited to this event. I am an old customer and receive these invitations. I appreciate the invite and don't ask questions!

Valley Fair in San Jose.
