East coast weekend ideas

Quick quick! Need help. Ideas on where to go this weekend? Looking for sight seeing outdoorsy stuff. Must be near hotel lodging.

K, go!

I went to Stowe Vermont last weekend and went ziplining. It was great. Particularly if you like beer too.

The Delaware Water Gap area is amazing this time of year. You also have an opening to the Appalachian Trail right there.

Poconos antique(ing) not too far away.

Lots to do in that area that involves being outside.

I've heard that Charleston, South Carolina is gorgeous.

Never been to the south but it's got some beautiful places like Nashville or the Foothill mountains in NC.

Portland Maine, great food, great beer, close to some great vistas and shopping.

Boston, Same as above

Newport RI, Same as above just more NY'ers

Hyannis Perfect time to go, tourists are gone.

Too early for the leaves to change? Upstate NY is absolutely spectacular this time of year. Lake George might have some fall colors soon if not already.

I would second Stowe, or if you are looking for something closer (looks like you're in NJ) I would do Manchester VT.

Anywhere along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Great seafood, nice people, you have Colonial Williamsburg in the area, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Virginia Beach. Check it out!

Nice! I have driven through there countless times on the way into the city. I need to stop and smell the roses next time. Beautiful part of the country. Enjoy your weekend

Agree with this completely. Update NY is amazing. Especially this time of year.

And lake George is truly a wonder. So beautiful

Nice!!!

Not sure if it had anytime to do with my suggestion, but glad you made it either way.

It's a beautiful area.

Enjoy.
