Will they sell to non-locals as well? If yes, after VAT refund, the prices might be rather attractive.

I don't see why not. Zero discount but with a vat refund it may be a good deal. Im serious when i say they don't have hardly any watches. They had like 10 total i think. They are all in a safe and you can't look. Its more a waitlist and then come in and pick up so hard to plan a trip around that.

The catalogues fall apart after one flip through anyway so its less of a catalogue and more a collection of individual pages.
You know what I mean mate, but let’s not forget when I was last in the Paris boutique they didn’t have any BO pieces instock.

so what you are saying is its the same as London minus Paris's better location, better access, and no roving moped gangs in the alley

Come on, back me up on the catalogues. The cover fell off mine on day one while i was carrying it. The rest came down squarely on my foot. It hurt.

You are going totally off topic on my point mate.

benlee mentioned the Paris being our only source of BO pieces.

To which I pointed out we can purchase BO pieces from the UK SC

You then mentioned stock levels.

Which I then pointed out BO pieces stock level was no better at Paris

that is true and i agree. They don't have any form of display so we wouldn't really know what london has or doesn't have. I guarantee the stock is higher for chris for example than someone else. So i really have no idea. They did say Tinie Tempah came in to try on pieces, so they have them. I had to google who that was as i have no idea.

Im on a waitlist in Paris too. So its not about the stock, but BO pieces were scarce. The only actual BO piece on my radar is the Pt/Ti ROC so in fairness i was not really looking for any from either place.

Why then did they decide to put the service center in a back alley in the first place?
In their defence I'd never ever, ever walk out with a £30k plus watch in a branded bag, which is asking for someone to snatch it. In a situation like that I'd go in with no watch so I could wear it, just carrying the box in the bag. They've offered me (and I accepted) plain white bags before, although admittedly a nice quality paper carrier. Good to walk around with a swanky AP bag but not if there's anything of great value in it.

I think I'll wear a fake AP there. I could live with having sex and then getting drugged.

The low quality plastic sack matched the cardboard box my watch and extra strap were crammed in. So in that case it was consistent as far as presentation. My rubber strap was still dirty even after a full service. This is the presentation. My new watch went on top. Maybe I'm too picky though. Nice bags to me are part of the overall image of any brand. Hermes doesn't send you away with a less than stellar bag by default. Patek gave me a nice bag when i went in to pick up a catalogue.

Tinie has a few nice gold APs while the other diminutive rapper, Tinchy Strider, has a Bluesy, shows how their careers have gone.

I don't disagree that the way you were treated was wrong, and I would've kicked up a major fuss on the spot. In fact I don't comprehend why it was so bad, its almost like you've upset them in some way, but even then it would be very unprofessional and not encourage brand loyalty. At least you're getting a factory visit out of it...

no i never complained once until afterwards. I let it go for 6 months of various issues and the only thing i ever mentioned to them was the plastic bag, but that was at the end of the overall process. So they didn't even know it was a bad experience(s). There is no way they were upset with me before as they had no clue, after my complaint to switzerland then maybe. Yes, i got a factory trip offered basically for bad communication, poor customer service, and bad follow up. They forgot to tell me my watch was fixed for example and then when i called to inquire about it i found out. Then they didn't want to let me pick it up because i made a short notice appointment.

In any case the poor communication immediately started again after the trip was offered. I was told in writing i would get the itinerary "this week" almost a month ago. Then they went dark as usual. So I'm not going. Feels wrong to accept a trip due to bad CS and then actually go when the same problem happens again immediately. They do put on a great show, but the follow through is lacking IMO which is the most important part. Its not my job to chase them down to get updates, they set a timeframe and they should meet it.

Still loyal to the brand as the watches were never the issue, I'm just doing my shopping in paris or geneva. I do not think London is representative of the brand in most other places so I am not blaming the brand specifically and am separating my feelings about the local SC/boutique/lounge from the brand in general
