Those wheels are very Lamborghini-esque.

Looks promising. Hips sort of have a Ferrari feel but that's to be expected I guess.

That too. The 5 star from Ferrari and the rest from Lambo

It looks long, like the old Acura NSX.

Chevrolet just rolled out the C7 Corvette 3 years ago. Seems way too soon for a complete redesign.

Maybe it will have a new name and will be sold next to the C7

I'm not sure the market is there for two high performance coupes from the same company. That is typically a market that doesn't sell very well to begin with. It would probably cannibalize sales from the C7 if sold alongside it which would just make the ROI on both cars even worse.

Problem is they are sold by Chevy dealers. After two Corvettes, I left them because of their lousy dealers that don't treat their customers well.

I don't need cappuccino and croissants, but friendly, prompt service is a necessity and I just wasn't getting it. I could even do without the friendly if they were at least prompt and somewhat plesant.

I've found that to be the case with all the American car companies. Dodge is probably the worst for sales and service experience. I've had hit/miss experiences with Ford over the years.

Mercedes is pretty good. Lexus is excellent.

good points.

i think GM wil spin off Corvette as a stand alone brand along with Caddy under new dealer agreements or even as valet and Tesla-esque online sales. GM has complained internally and ext that the challenge for them is the dealers. they fail at conquesting rival brand drivers during the visit. a Camaro guy may not mind as much but Corvette is in another league.

I have a Grand Cherokee and the Jeep dealer has met my needs. With an appointment, they have me in and out in the time promised, no issues. That's really all I ask for.

it's funny you mention service times. I went into my BMW dealership driving in my mothers X6 for them to put the snow tires on the car. The tires were in the back of the car somehow it ended up taking over 3 hours to remove and put 4 tires on the vehicle, from that day on I will never let BMW do anything minor that should take a total of 15-20 minutes.

I have had a fair amount of luck with them when it comes to standard oil changes etc, but man did that leave a bad taste in my mouth and I don't think I will ever buy another BMW from that dealership again.

Some seem to think that a mid engine and front engine will be offered together. Time will tell I guess. No different than having the base, Z06, ZR1, etc

Regarding service I think a great deal depends on the particular dealership. I currently drive a 4runner and the service is as good or better than my last 4-5 cars which where all bmw and 1 Porsche.

The waiting area is new, large comfortable seating, wifi, food and drink etc they even cook food on a grill saturdays. I'm always in and out in 60 minutes. In retrospect a lot probably has to do with there being nothing to fix lol (I'm looking at you bmw).

Probably because it's run by TRFs own Shannon (swils8610)

I prefer Porsche because they are NOT made in the US and are more reliable. We also love Mazdas because they are made in Japan and are highly reliable.

I know it is patriotic to say Made in USA, but in my experience German and Japanese workers are more diligent. Phasers on stun, I come in peace.

The bmw in my area sucked until I met with the service advisor who had on a sub and struck up a convo with him and now he always hooks it up.

Now we're talking! Can't wait to see the specs and tests of the final product once it's officially released.

It is meaningless drivel. It’s a global economy and the Japanese and Germans have invested millions in manufacturing cars in the USA while many American brands manufacture their cars in Mexico. I won’t get into the global supply chain that feeds them...all of them.

I couldn’t possibly care less where my car is made. I own two German cars and an Italian motorcycle. I’m kind of partial to Lexus/Toyota though.

Going mid-engine is a pretty big deal for the Corvette. It’ll be interesting how this pans out. For both the consumer and GM. Great development.

I found a half eaten cheeseburger and an orange peel inside the door of my Mustang Cobra years ago when I was installing a stereo. Inside the door, as in I had to take the door card off, and there it was Bought the car new so first owner. UAW strike again.

I will have to see what the final product looks like and what the performance numbers are. For now, I look at it as, why, you already make an iconic vehicle that has a true loyal following. Your performance numbers are good and you offer a vehicle which can be described as a value for what you get in the sports car market. My experience is that the guys that will buy a foreign exotic will not move over to a Chevrolet, no matter what you do. I am waiting to see.

The peel had seen better days but the cheeseburger was pretty respectable. I figure it was in there for a year or so before I saw it. No lettuce or tomato. Just a bun, patty, and beef. Car was built 8/30/2001 and I put the stereo in about a year after that. Nice parting gift from the good people in Dearborn who might have actually been undercover Corvette fans.

I drive a 13 year old Chevy SUV made in Linden, NJ that just drives and drives and hasn't died yet. I know you are retired, but if your job depended on customers purchasing your USA made product, your opinion might be different.
