Movement in ROO Diver - All the Same?

I'm new here and lusting after my first AP.
I am interested in a Diver and curious to know if the movement in the earlier version 15703ST.OO.A002CA.01 CIRCA 2014 would have the same exact movement as the new 2017 version with the 18K Gold rotor.

I'm asking this not only to know positively, but because I also was curious if it's possible to upgrade the earlier version to the Sapphire Exposition back? Is so, does anyone know approx how much this would cost and would AP Service perform this service?

Thank you in advance!

In my personal experience the early movements were defective in that the minute hand would often jump several minutes after setting correct time while pushing the crown back in.

I believe this issue has been resolved but it was quite bothersome to me and one of the factors that made me sell the diver.

Workaround is to not wind fully before setting, only enough to get second hand moving to hack it, then set time and wind fully afterwards.

Same movement, the displayback is nice but I liked the wet dial of the old model.

If you are addressing my post, at this price point, is it a reasonable option that the buyer should have to workaround?

Depends upon how anal you are, I guess.

To me, I really don't see any increase in effort or inconvenience between winding it first and then setting it, or setting it first and then winding it. YMMV, of course …
