I like black licorice. Good to eat while drinking a nice Cabernet, I think it helps bring out the flavor of the wine.

Found out the hard way a few years back that natural black licorice is a laxative.

Peyote is harsh on the body. And it amplifies your insecurities in a way that can make for a most unpleasant experience. Traditional users prepared themselves for the spiritual experience. Recreational users not so much, hence a broad range of reported experiences (hint, the scary demons are you).

It was probably because of the heavy food I ate before eating the mushrooms.
I'll stick to an occasional hashbrownie for now, way less intense and doesn't mess with my lungs or stomach.

Just because you don't like licorice doesn't mean that other people don't like it.

I think he's joking Bas, at least I know I was when I started this thread.

True, I've never liked the stuff and I did find it disconcerting to learn of the adverse health issues associated with its consumption, but a thread about licorice should never be so divisive!

Sure we'll fight to the death/banishment over Chanel purses on sale, but candy? Never.

I️ definitely only dabble when emotionally and psychologically clear of stresses and potential black holes; never understood the “let’s go to the DMV” approach to psychedelics. Give me a forest, a body of water and solitude on my inward journeys.

Edit: re-read the rules, I shouldn't post about mind altering substances. My apologies.

On-topic: How do you guys like the English licorice? which is more of a sugary treat, with some black licorice here and there.

Though I haven't partaken in 'Jager' for awhile, for those who enjoy the flavor of licorice/anise + the 'medicinal' and/or recreational aspects of cannabis, a shot (or two) of Jagermeister along with a pint of your favorite export lager simulates the nature of smoking weed. Combine all three elements and you are in the 'zone'. Millions of Deadheads can't be wrong.
