Thank You All for such kind words. This one is definitely a keeper! And to think that this piece when in production could be had for 10-15% off BNIB. If we only had a time machine. Some of you wanted to see some more pics so these were the best I could get. I love that fact that you cant see through the watch as the hair on my wrist would be quite an eyesore and detract from the beauty of this piece. LOL!

Correct me if I’m wrong guys but I don’t think there’s any real area of being able to see through the movement as such, clearly light can move through the movement and that’s what I love about these. Unlike some openworks where you can see your wrist hair or just big gaps these AP offerings allow the movement to be display in so many different layers and depths it makes it feel the the movement goes deeper then it physically does. Not knocking any owners of this but I found the movement too open and being the same tone as the case it loses contrast and doesn’t display the workings quite like the 15305/15407 |

I had payed zero attention to any open worked models until I was invited to Scotland this year on an AP golf day. I had breakfast with a chap who was wearing a 15407 and since then I've wanted one. I've just recently also had the open worked PC in hand and words can't do justice to the differences in real life of the open worked models to the pictures on AP's site.
In short, bloody nice choice, well done, envious! |
