If I had purchased the BLNR first I would have saved a bunch of money and likely would be a one watch guy. Awesome first watch. That’s what I would buy!

Man here comes all the BLNR fanboys. I owned one and let me tell you the SubC is WAY more versatile than the BLNR. But the fanboys won’t agree.

Go with the 114060 first and then if you want to add a GMT later you can. At that point you'll have a sub without a date and the GMT with the date window, which will further differentiate the two.

Yep.

I did buy the sub first, and I loved it. Wore it for a few year. But, the BLNR kept calling me. I sold the sub at a loss and got the BLNR.

I did keep the sub bracelet though, to put on the BLNR, as I prefer the brushed bracelet and glide lock over the PCL’s of the BLNR.

^^^This. Perfect choice and you've solved your own dilemma. You've got the diver look, the added date, and a second time zone.

That would be my choice.

Date display on a dive watch somehow never really made sense to me and clutters an otherwise perfect dial. On a GMT the date seems more appropriate.

Congrats on the GMT! I’m a big fan of the black bezel. Timeless and goes with everything. Enjoy it.

I prefer sub date over GMT because the bracelet is more comfortable and the PCL is way too delicate. Hairline scratches for days if you plan on wearing it without rotation.

I bought my first SS Rolex and chose the Yachtmaster 16622 and hate wearing it because of the PCL. Every time I look at the watch those tiny swirls on the PCL annoyed me. So I searched and bought the Sub C date 16610 and I love it. You don't have to worry about any visual swirlies with the brushed steel. Now I'm stuck with 2 SS Rolex with Sub C getting 100% wrist time. The 16622 is now back in the box.

Get the Sub C date 1st....can't go wrong. But you will end up with all 3 of them anyways...Trust me, you will be hooked.

My first Rolex is SubC date.
And recently flipped my Pam and Omega to fund my BLNR.

Not crazy at all. I’d much rather have the black model, and I’d still brush the PCLs.

Love and have both . I got the Sub date first because the AD had it in stock the Batman is pretty tough to find so if it’s available I will take that first.
