Blue lume

Which Rolexes have the blue lume? Is it only the Ceramic Subs?

I believe all current models (after 2013) have a Chromalight blue lume, not just Sub C.

2013 is the rough date I think. Of course depends when the watch was manuafutured and not sold. My 2013 sold gmt has green lume for example.

I thought they started in 2011...some articles read Super Luminova was replaced with Chromalight as early as 2008.

GMT C LN had a green lume before BLNR was released in 2013.

I use a 900 lumen flashlight . . . about 5 seconds.

I use a UV torch (flashlight). A couple of dollars from eBay and it charges watches up nicely in a few seconds.

I don't do anything special to charge the lume on my Exp 1 and it is still very readable when I wake up.

I thought the DSSD actually heralded the introduction of Chromalight in 2008.

Or was it the SubC a little earlier on.

I got a little worried actually when I saw another picture here with the bright blue lume. I just purchased my new Sub from a AD, fresh out of the coffin, and mine looks very green to me in the dark. In a picture it looks a little more blue.

You only clearly see the blue in photos. In person it looks somewhere between blue and green when fully lit. I personally love the blue lume over green. Rolex definitely made the right move.

Quick shot with the iPhone flashlight (10 seconds) works great for me.

Is it possible to have them refresh the lume (from green to blue) on an older model when sending it in for service?
