Coravin Model Two?

Morning all - I know we have a lot of wine lovers on the forum.

Decent cyber Monday sale on the model 2.

Anyone have one? Is it worth the money?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd get that .. I has one used in front of me about 2-3 months ago at Capitol Grill in Fort Lauderdale on a 6-7 month old open Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It tasted like they just opened it. It was so good I had a 2nd glass. I don't normally buy wine at restaurants as the 3-4 times mark up is crazy on a 200.00 bottle of wine wholesale, but if I had a resturant you could safely open a bottle serve it by the glass and 4 months do it again.

I don't know the difference with the Corvain I or II. This wasn't a cheap glass at 70.00 per pour but I was impressed. At home there's never any left overs so I wouldn't use it. I just ordered 18 bottles of . 375 size 2011 Insignia too so that's going to be perfect for me now if I want 2 just glasses. But the coravin worked amazing if you need it.

Go to their direct website, I saw them for $175 and $200. Not sure models.
I think I’m gonna get one for my father in law for Christmas

Quite frankly, I cannot imagine just pulling one glass of wine out of a bottle. My wife and I have at least 3-5 bottles of wine a week and I prefer to spend my cash on buying (and drinking) wine rather than strange implements to save it.

Wine should be drunk in company rather than by the odd glassful.

Just in case you may wonder where your previous two posts went, I deleted them.

I assume this is designed to only be used for wines without sediment from aging or ones that don't benefit from being decanted.

Bad assumption...Works fine on all wines!

As to OP: I love mine and great if you want to have a glass of wine during the week and it’s as if you never opened your bottle.

Agreed, we got ours last Christmas and love it. Most used gift we got in years....plus it works just as advertised.

As far as wines needing decanting, if we only want a glass of wine or two for dinner, I pour it well before dinner and wine is perfect when we need it, plus whats left in bottle is saved for future.

I noticed it being used a lot in Napa for tastings. My father loves his, and the precision of the pours. Seems like he is wasting less wine, and the bottles are staying fresher.

If you like wine, you'll love it. Perfect when you need an extra glass and don't want to pop a bottle.

We love wine. Bought 6 cases while in Italy this year.

Excited to try out my new toy.
