Can I shower with my rolex? This should explain it.

I've seen that article. Good read.
Interesting that they say hot tubbing with your watch on should be fine.

Yep. It’s essentially ok to wear your Rolex/Tudor anywhere your wrist survives (assuming the seals are good.)

Thanks for posting, made for an interesting read.
Question will still be asked; however, we now have an article to refer to for any doubters out there! |

I’ve put my sub through a lot. If it can survive my life, it can survive a simple shower. Lol

Don't believe everything you read.
The articles states that: The scale must time up to 60 minutes and there must be (at least) five minute increments. The Standard states that: The bezel must have a scale showing 60 minutes with markings showing every 5 minutes. ??

Pressure of the shower might sometimes be unpredictable. It is better to keep Rolex on bedside table allday.

It is an informative article. Why someone would want to wear a watch while taking a shower is a bit mysterious, though.

I clean my DJ in the top rack of the dishwasher about once a month..
A shower should be fine. Oh and we just celebrated birthdays. 59 for me, 40 for the 1601. Larry |

I'm looking forward to shower with my new, <24hr old Rolex. LOL
I've been wearing a Breitling Blackbird 24/7 for the last 12 years.... showers, swimming, hot tubs, light scuba diving (25m maybe). If the 100m waterproof rating can withstand all of those abuse, I have the utmost confidence that my new Rolex will do just fine. Just my humble opinion. |

Showering with watch cleans watch as well. This is a reason for wearing it in shower. links and external moving parts seize if not weekly cleaned. Also, watch on wrist is safer than setting down and potentially dropping it onto tile floor. 30 years of wearing dive-able watch in shower and no issues whatsoever...

Yep, I wear my watch in the shower every day and give it a quick soap and rinse to keep it free of dirt wearing out the links.

This is why they say 'ignorance is a bliss'.
I had done all that (showering, swimming, hot tub, underwater guitar competition) with my Sub without reading this article and never thought twice about it.

the only time I remove my Rolex it goes into my safe.
if it is out of the safe it stays on my wrist. I travel, I don't want to step out of the shower and find the watch gone. I don't want to risk dropping the watch. I slept with it, I shower with it...... |

Well, I learned something today. Thanks for the perspective. I never would have thought to wear the watch in the shower but it sounds like a quick and easy way to keep it clean.
