Thanks - they did not get B&P for watches. That’s where I got s/n’s for 2 if them. But 2 were bought w/o B&P - and the details of the transactions were on my MacBook. I do have a back-up of it, I just need to find time to buy another one and recover the files.

Just thinking loose watches would be off loaded in a different manner so might have some bearing on the search.

Good luck I hope these scum bags get caught.

Hope the insurance comes good.

It's sickening to read this. I hope you get your watches back and whoever took them gets the punishment deserved.

Thanks - me too. One of the other homes this team hit was occupied - that is disturbing. While I’m not obsessing over in-home safety, I did replace an item of personal protection that was taken.

So sorry. Just terrible.

First, I hope everyone was safe. It sounds like they were thank god.

Second, I hope everything was insured.

Such a terrible thing to have to experience. Hopefully in the end things work out though.

Sorry to hear man. I had my apartment broken into years ago. I felt totally violated so I somewhat know how you feel. But aside from that and the possible sentimental value of the Rolexes that were taken insurance will somewhat save the day. Especially on that Platona. Insurance retail replacement is 75k. Purchase it from a grey dealer and pocket 25k. And you can use that 25k to purchase a new WG Daytona on Oysterflex. Again I am sorry for the loss and how I know it has left you feeling. But in bad times always try to look on the bright side. Hope things get better.

Really sorry to hear this, Paul. What a bummer!

2thdoc, not everyone buys insurance (I don't for my old DJ and haven't for 20+ years), and not everyone insures a watch for 1/3 more than they can replace it for with a new one (I don't). Insurance is expensive and not everyone chooses to over-insure their stuff. Not the point of this thread, but I thought I'd mention that.

Here's hoping for the best possible outcome.

I pay around $5/month for my insurance on $19k of watches (2). Definitely worth it and not expensive.

If that's all you pay then you most likely don't have insurance at all, I would read your policy.

To the thread starter, thankfully you and your family is safe and wishing great things for you sir!

Thats a steal. Usually insurance is approx 1% a year on a rider and can be more than that in many cases. I have never heard of insurance on jewelry coming out to less than 1/3 of 1 % per year.

OP- So sorry for your loss. I hope they catch these low lifes and you get some justice. Best of luck!

Wow, we pay around $450/year on two watches valued in total at $55,000.

I'm sorry. Not trying to contradict, just offer an alternative "strategy."
