116710 M or Z serial- is there a difference??

The SS GMT II I just bought has an M serial number. I'm curious, what is the difference if any between Z and M??

Thanks!

M should indicate that it was manufactured after Z.

I got a late M GMT IIc. I think they are now producing V serial #s.

You are lucky to get M because my AD still has a lot of Zs in his showroom.
