Chronometre Souverain 40mm in RG (new dial version) and PT
Centigraphe in RG and PT

According to Govberg's website on the preowned pieces, a PT Centigraphe is $63k.

I thought the CS was in the mid $30's for RG and high $30's or maybe touching $40 for PT. Just going by memory but that's ballpark.

PT Centigraphe note above sounds about right too.

My local grey offered their complete PT Centigraphe Black Label for around $39K USD. I think that's a fairer price than what Govberg has listed.

For anyone who is interested, I´ve now received the CHF list prices from the Geneva boutique including 8% VAT.

CS RG = 32400 CHF
CS PT = 36300 CHF

Centigraphe RG = 60700 CHF
Centigraphe PT = 64600 CHF

I own a CB and sometimes thinking over to get a black label centigraphe. I also suggest you to consider Centigraphe anniversary.

I really like the black label Centigraphe but the boutique told me you already need to own another FPJ in order to get a black label watch.

The anniversary Centigraphe is something special indeed but I prefer the PT version by far.

It is still the case, only FPJ owners can get black label. You need to provide serial number of the watch you own to place an order. By this way, they give an appreciation to existing customers. However, you can get a boutique edition which is the same but in rose gold.

If I decide to go with a CS in RG I´d pick the ivory dial, though. Tried it on last year and really liked it a lot.

Not to mention, the waitlist for the CB at the US boutiques are quite long.

Thankfully, Geneva accepts deposits and only quotes a 3-4 month wait.

Out of curiosity, why is the CB in such high demand? Is it similar to what the SS Daytona represents for Rolex?

Despite it is the entry level FPJ, because of its tantalum case and blue dial, it is very popular. As the production of the dial is very difficult, they are not able to cope with the demand thus makes it more attaractive for the collectors.

It's in high demand primarily because it's materially cheaper than any of his other watches (even adjusting for regular discounts on the next model up, CS). That positive tailwind is supplemented by the what others have mentioned regarding the case material and dial, and the combination of those two. It's a unique look, perfectly executed.

None of the above (unfortunately) mean that it trades like a Daytona or Nautilus. While it's probably the best in terms of residual value for any current Journe, it still does not demand a premium (unless you are one of those three people who purchased one for a significant premium at auction this year).

It’s also the most affordable FPJ. Look at the Patek Nautilus and Aquanaut. Demand is through the roof for both of those watches.

A biased, new CB owner's perspective... it has some unique aspects that make it very desirable [some listed above]. Obviously it, like all Joune pieces and all pieces [i.e., Daytona] aren't for everyone.

I bought my CB from a boutique, no discount. I do know, you get a longer warranty going through a boutique.
