Zeitwerk Striking Time
Does anyone here own one, or have you spent time with one in person?
I’m 80% sure I want one, but haven’t found many wrist shots, and am concerned about the 44mm size. I usually wear and prefer 36mm - 40mm on my 7.5” wrist. Also, I’m not clear how loud the gongs are. I want to be able to enjoy them in passing throughout the day without having to be consciously focused on my watch, holding it to my ear, etc. I’d appreciate any thoughts from those who’ve handled one directly. My second choice is a Langematik Perpetual, and, of course, both is always an option. Thanks! |

The gongs aren't super loud and I thought they can be disengaged. I think I have a picture wearing one, I'll try to pull out, but my wrist is a bit larger. It's also very thick. But beautiful.

Admittedly I was a little underwhelmed after playing around with one at my AD. The gongs are not very loud, such that I missed them a few times with some background noise at the AD. It's also massive - the regular Zeitwerk is already a big piece, but this one takes it another step.

I could wear one on my 7 inch wrist, I can wear a 44 AP too, but it was really pushing it, the 42mm was perfect. The gong was also underwhelmingly low to my ear as well, so the normal version without the "shark fins" is more my cuppa tea, as is the price.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m going with the perpetual, despite how much I love the idea of the striking time.
