Smart water.
Anyone like these 'enhanced' bottled waters? Some are vitamin infused, others claim a higher pH promoting a more alkaline diet.
Growing up we just had two choices: hose or faucet. Now there's seemingly endless possibilities. Modern snake oil, or a smart choice? http://time.com/5093464/vitamins-nutrients-in-water/ |

I look at these so called "smart water" products as on shelf instantaneous intelligence tests.

I prefer to use a water bottle that I refilled from my tap.
Saves pollution and saves money for the same product.

Where does your tap water come from? If it’s a river, it is likely flavored by wastewater discharges. IMO, water is best when the source is a deep well in a limestone aquifer. There is a lot of sweet tap water from deep wells. |

Whenever I am in doubt of a local area's drinking water, I'll usually opt for a beer (although there are inherent limitations to this practice). Not sure of its vitamin content or pH but there's probably some residual yeast properties.
As far as 'smart water' and it benefits are concerned, a control group would be required to validate its overall merits. Perhaps one group drinking the branded 'smart water' and the other a placebo (i.e. tap water from Mexico). |

When I start seeing 'tap water' show up as a common cause of death for people, I'll consider switching my water drinking habits. Till then, don't see a reason to fix what ain't broken.

I drink a lot of sparkling mineral water. Gerolsteiner is my favorite.

Never a fan of soda, so if I buy a drink at a gas station or convenience store it's either a "good" water (Fiji, Evian) or maaaybe a Naked/Bolthouse.
Whole Foods has some great tasting in-house still/sparkling water to go. Been meaning to test out Gerolsteiner, now that you mention it. and to address the health benefits...I just like being hydrated, and some water tastes better than other water. Now the "vitamin-infused" flavored water based beverages are just a no for me.

H3 water - allegedly ionized water - is a scam. It is like homeopathy, it won't hurt you, but you are paying for nothing.
