There are now very small rechargeable coin-sized GPS trackers anyone can use. An App does all the work.

Go to your AD try a few expensive watches on and notice that one pillow will go right back in the case and not be left on the tray with the others as this is the one with the gps.

I dont think that AD’s have a universal placement spot for GPS trackers. If I owned an AD the pillow wouldn’t be my only spot. A pillow is not going to help in a situation where a thief tries a watch on and runs. With how small the GPS trackers are I think my spot would be the hangtag. Nobody that tries on a Rolex and runs is gonna take the time to take the hangtag off. And in a smash and grab situation I would think the robbers wouldn’t take the hangtags off until they have reached a destination. And by that time the police are already headed there.

Two crimes were actually committed: they also are selling Michael Kors alongside Rolex.

All jokes aside, I’m glad everyone is okay. Watches can be replaced (eventually). Best of luck to jeweler, maybe Rolex will allocate favorably to get them rolling again?

You know, I've tried to live a good life and mostly live by the Golden Rule. But if I decided to cross the line, robbing a well-inventoried Rolex AD would be top of mind. I'd be a lousy robber, though, as I wouldn't want to fence any of the goods... lol.

I remember a few years back something similar at Royal De Versailles jewelers on Bloor street in Toronto. Bandits made of with a few million dollars worth of goods. Crazy times we live in......

2th doc... I know they have it for a fact and it is for a smash and grab situation just like this as they have been happening more frequently .

They obviously know the serial numbers for these watches. They’ll change hands a few times and then end up in some unscrupulous pawn shops and on Craigslist. They should tell us the serial numbers so we can keep a look out.
