Datejust 41 smaller than subc? Wrist presence?

Hope everyone on trf is well and good!
Recently fallen in love with the new DJ41 on jubilee, fluted bezel, rhodium dial...the watch is pure class and quite a lot of watch for the money...

Already own a subc 116610ln
was wondering how does it compare in size to the DJ??
Also which of the 2 watches do you think has more wrist presence?
Thanks in advance

This should help....

While the Sub has an unmistakable presence on the wrist. The DJ41 wears very well and does NOT disappoint.

Agree - the Sub will definitely wear a little bigger case / height wise. The 41 has great wrist presence but is much slimmer all around.

Wear the sub in to the AD and try on the DJ back to back. If you're contemplating buying the watch, you need to do this anyway.

Sub C is bigger and thicker , DJ 41 is not 41mm ,actually more like 39.5 , DJ41 is very nice and versatile, I'm not a DJ guy but I might add a 41 in the future I like the Jubilee Smooth bezel combo.

I am actually surprised at how large the DJ is. Of course the sub is bigger, but wow, that 41 really doesn't act shy on the wrist. Nice!

I flipped my SubC for a DJ41, fluted, jubilee, rhodium diamond dial and I can tell you from experience that the DJ 41 has significantly more wrist presence than the SubC. The fluted bezel sparkles and catches people's eye. The SubC, purposely, is a sports watch that flys more under the radar. I never regret flipping the SubC for the DJ41.

Don’t have a sub but do have an 8 inch wrist for what it’s worth.

Dirty watch but still looks good

the fluted bezel has an unmistakable presence. I would also try the DJII if they still have them. I think they are a little thicker. I do prefer the comfort of the Sub though.

I tried on that exact model yesterday when I was buying my Air King. It’s a stunner for sure and some serious wrist candy. I own a DJ2 so I wanted to see how the size compared.

What did you think? I liked the size of the DJ41 better than the DJii. I had the blue Roman DJii for a while but eventually sold it as I wasn’t sold on the proportions. But I loved that blue Roman dial. I wish they made that combo on the 41.

I prefer the size of the DJ2 but looooove the jubilee bracelet. If it was an option on the DJ2 I would’ve opted for it. That DJ41 is a beauty and I would wear it in a heartbeat

I have this exact combination except the DJ 41 has a silver dial. I think it's a great pair.

Great pics in this thread, thanks to everyone who posted. This gives a very good idea of how the DJ41 wears.

Couple issues. #1 the DJ"41" is actually smaller in diameter than a Sub. Sub 40, DJ41 ~39.5

#2 the bezel on the Sub is going to make it look a little bigger than a smooth bezel DJ since the black bezel contrasts with the SS bracelet and case.

#3 the DJ with a fluted bezel will appear bigger and definitely have more wrist presence than a smooth bezel DJ

I don’t know if I agree with #3. I think the fluted bezel will definitely pop more, which might draw the eye or increase the wrist presence, but the smooth polished bezel kind of puffs up the watch IMO. Not sure, I’d have to see them side by side, but the photos in this thread kind of make it look bigger

I found a picture of both together and I tend to agree with you on size. They do look pretty much the same size. Wrist presence goes to the fluted however in my opinion.
