Looking to buy a high quality saphire

I am looking to buy a sapphire to mount on a ring for my wife but I am having trouble identifying what is a good sapphire. They are not graded as uniformly as diamonds.

Has anyone done business with gemsny.com? They look like a good place judging from the quality of their website. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I bought one from the Natural Sapphire Company in NYC a couple years ago. They have some from a few hundred dollars into the thousands. I did see them in person however but I picked out a few online and they had them ready to look at when I arrived.

another option

why not consider a vintage piece, these are some of my private collection and I've bought in broken jewellery and repurposed the stones in the past, Mrs "H" has a Sapphire ring with Diamonds surrounding, it originally was a part of a 1920's tiara that was converted to a tie pin and now a ring..... sadly I doubt very much if dearly beloved would want to see it go... but worth considering the pre owned market.

Sapphire is very easy to manufacture. There is some really fantastic lab grown sapphire at pretty reasonable prices.

If you have to have natural stone, call around to jewelers that specialize in estate jewelry. You will find some very good stones at reasonable pricing.

I have a friend in the industry. She’s been in for years. But recently went on her own.

Super sweet and trustworthy with a lot of knowledge and experience. If you want, pm me and I’ll get you her info.
