Have been interested in mechanical watches for around 15 years. Received my first a Tag Heuer Link Automatic when I got married 12 years ago. Have always loved the tradition and prestige of Rolex and starting looking into buy my first a couple of years ago. Finally was able to pull the trigger when we welcomed our first son and the family namesake last years. Was looking to select a watch that could be handed down and would be cherished and loved.

We ended up selecting the Rolex Daytona 116500. Really didn't mind either dial color, but was told that the white dial would be a little more difficult to source than the black dial. Was told 6-12 months, which was going to be great for preparing for such a large purchase. Just my luck when I got a call two weeks later with a Valentines surprise. Now we have a 116500 White Dial to hand down through the generations. Hopefully my little boy is excited as I am.
