Icon12 Yacht-Master-I Platinum Dial info please?

Rolex Yacht-Master I with Platinum Dial: Does anyone know what treatment or production method Rolex refers to in terms of the original platinum dial? Mine is a K-series produced in 2002. I adore this watch and have researched every aspect. Yet, I am still at a loss for dial info other than what some refer to as "blasted." Kindly add your 2-cents please?

The platinum base dial once formed gets sand blasted. Then the text and indexes are applied.

Here's an early 2235 mid size Platinum dial.

Thank you Bas for the PT dial info & visuals

Likewise, happy to see you value Steve McQueen.

My favorite movies of his are: Bullitt, The Great Escape & The Thomas Crown Affair. As a kid, he was one of my idols. Feel free to add your favorite movies of his, SVP?

Cheers, Jon
