As a follow-up, today got back my 16610 from Rik after servicing. Very pleased with his work, the LEC on the new sapphire is a nice addition (original one did not have it as was not a feature on 1995 when bought it new)

What does pulling the crown after a drop and cracked crystal do?

Thanks. Yes Rik did polished the watch as part of the service. I'm the original owner and didn't mind a polish done by an expert!

This accident, is something in the back of all our minds, I expect.
Glad to see you have a happy ending.
You probably feel like you've got a new watch! It certainly looks it.

My worry is for your vault.
You dropped your Rolex on it!
Did you have the 'dink' polished out?
