So sorry to hear of this happening. Good luck in your investigation and I hope this scammer/thief gets whats coming to him.

A few years ago someone on this site contacted me via pm and asked me if I had a watch for sale that I was not selling. Turns out the scammer had replied to a WTB and changed my email address by 1 character in hopes the guy wouldn't notice. Thankfully the buyer had the wherewithal to send a pm. Unfortunately it is a common scam that has happened to many sellers on here and other sites. Can never be too careful.

Yep, that’s common scam. I encountered that a few times.
