Does anybody else think that Rolex cannot produce this on ceramic?

Yeah the bezel is rubbish! The 5-digit aluminium ones are so much better.

I'd take my old 16710 all day, any day over the new GMT with the red/blue insert. The red on the modern WG version, which I've read is the same as the new SS version, always looked muted to me in person.

This old (relatively) cheap aluminum insert pops! Unless, of course, I install a faded insert, which has its own appeal that the new ceramic inserts presumably will never have either.

I’d say that’s true for all the various color aluminum bezels that have gone ceramic except black.

They can produce black and red separately - can't see why they can't be combined as the other colors have been.

Maybe in the current color iteration as OP suggests, the combo of pinkish/purple red with the black looks not up to par?
