WG BLRO owners Dial switch?

Own a Blro now for 2 yrs.

Daily wearer.

Any other owners thinking about swapping out for the new blue dial?!

Heard Rolex would do it for free but has anyone gotten the exact process to do the swap?

I would be very tempted, think it works nicely with the red hand. I think you should ask Rolex directly of the logistics and if a swap back to black is possible within a certain timeframe if you are not happy.

I am actually quite surprised to hear Rolex would do this for free, I did not think they were that nice.

Would be very tempting for me, I like the blue in pictures.

If the dial is swapped from black to blue does it make it a franked watch? I don't think it would, would it?

No not at all that's with fake parts, and it's not even really modded as this is a new spec from Rolex itself.

Fair enough I agree. The blue or black are nice. At the end of the day the WG may look like the steel one but do not forget it is still gold.

I speak not as a WG BLRO owner but as one who had been saving up for one before it was discontinued and still might be (I don't like the jubilee and like the idea of WG for the pepsi)--having said that, NO CHANCE.

I’m actually thinking of selling my 116719 ready for the SS.... wondering about the blue dial now though.

1st remove the case back, then extract movement and hands.

After swapping dials and installing back hands and movement in the case, don't forget to re-install the case back. It's safer if you want later swim with the watch.

That's it.

Not sure I’m keeping mine, but wouldn’t go for the blue dial.

I love the watch. If anything I’ve been wearing it even more than usual since Basel. A couple of months ago I bought an SS DJ41 with Jubilee, which I’m really enjoying, particularly the bracelet.

Sooo...I’ve ordered both the SS BLRO and the TT CHNR (and I’ll have them sooner rather than later). Then I’ll decide what’s staying and what’s going...

I would be skeptical if they would allow you to change the dial. I called RSC Dallas multiple times about this and they always say that on professional sports models, they do not swap dials. I asked about switching from black to green dial for 116718 GMT, and answer was NO. Also, dial swaps can only be done outside the warranty period for Datejusts I believe.

So if they did allow this for 116719, they would be breaking from their usual policy.

It would be to alleviate the slap in the face they have just given the WG owners by rejeasingbsaje Dial and bezel in SS

I think the blue dial looks very nice! I don't own a WG BLRO yet, but I don't have a problem with the blue dial at all.

The blue dial is beautiful like all Rolex blue dials are but it’s a little too much blue for me. I think it’s stick with the classic black dial.

I won't ever have a WG BLRO, but if I did have the black dial version, I would leave it just as it is.

To me, it would be like Rolex offering me a deep polish on the case and bracelet. I would rather keep it all original. Besides, now with the black dial, it's the newest retired classic.

I will not change to the blue dial. I’d like to keep mine correct. Sometimes I put it on rubber but I’d not want to change the original parts permanently.
