New arrival! Hamilton Pioneer Mechanical

This one has been on my radar for a few years. Love the coin-edge bezel, cathedral hands, Havana-brown dial, and hand-cranked ETA 2801. It ticks lots of boxes for me, and the only reason I hesitated or didn’t go out of my way to buy it before now was the bead blasted finish (thought I would prefer it with a shinier brushed satin finish). It turns out the color tones on the dial and hands work perfectly with this finish on the case, and I’m really tickled about it!

The seller included its original bund strap that has a leather cover for the whole case, but I like the Hamilton pilot style strap shown here that the watch was mounted on when it arrived.

Thanks for viewing!

Great looking field watch! The cathedral hands really work well with it.

Noice and so legible.
What size is that 42mm?

Can you please do a lume shot?
I'm between a Ball Watch or that Hamilton.

cheers

It is 42mm. It looks kinda huge in this wrist-shot, but that's just the photo.

The lume is downright pathetic. I've learned to expect this with Hamilton watches, but I haven't noticed even the slightest emission of luminescence from this one yet. I'll get it out in the sun and then come in for some photos and see how it look. Please note that I'm in the Buffalo, NY area, and we ain't seein' much of the sun lately (I brushed 3" of heavy, wet snow off of the car before leaving the house this morning!!!).

Thanks!
Heck, I'm in NZ purportedly the adventure capital of the world and we probably got only five days of summer. It's autumn here now.

Shall be happy to see your lume shot. At anyrate, that Hamilton is a classic! Would get one if i can only make up my mind which...
