My SubC is a fantastic investment for two reasons:

(1) I enjoy it 8/7 days a week
(2) the joy I will get when I can pass it down to my son and he charrishes it will be well worth 10x the initial investment

I keep the dollars and cents for investing in stocks/ETFs/Private deals

Not sure why you are getting so much vitriol. I totally get what you are saying. Part of the fun for me is researching and hunting for that piece. It's not just buying something and losing 30% of its value, its finding that piece that I enjoy and then seeing it appreciate.
