The current Submariner is a dynamite watch. Give it a try.

I'd say get whatever you truly want. If you want a Sea-Dweller, then go for that. It is cheaper in the long run to get what you really want the first time. Either way best of luck!!

If you can afford it, go for the watch you really want and then you don't get a hold over or something that does the job but does not scratch the itch. Personally, I've never been the biggest fan of owning a vintage watch because of age related issues and problems that newer watches have either solved or sorted. Also, I love the idea that I'm making my own history with the exact watch. Whatever way your bread is buttered, you can't go wrong with a Submariner or Submariner Date! Personally, I'll go with a brand new Ceramic + Steel Submariner Date. |

Well I just put down the 20% to get the new SS date in from the sister store...I was able to try on a two tone they had in stock, and liked it.
I’m still not sure if I like it quite as well as the older non ceramic versions, but I really liked it, and given the scarcity of the supply right now, I figured I just had to take advantage of being able to get one without a long wait...should have it next week. Yee haw. |
