Submariner, diamonds vs serti

I only want to keep one, which one should I keep?

116613 Submariner Diamonds?

16613 Submariner serti?

What are your thoughts?

Aren't they both considered "serti"?

Honestly not a huge fan of either, but I think there's something charming about the 5 digit.

What's your motivation to move one?

I don’t think diamonds are the best look for the Sub. It’s the quintessential tool watch - a big attraction for me. Classic black is the one I’d choose. Ceramic.

There is nothing better then a 116613 Diamond Dial. The diamonds are just for you, no one will even notice them but you. True perfection in my book

From my understanding, the 16613 is call serti since they have sapphires too, but the 116613 with only Diamonds is called Submariner Diamonds dial

They are luxury tool watches still capable of doing all the things and taking all the abuse that they were originally designed for. Some people baby them like an expensive piece of jewelry and some use them as originally intended. There’s nothing wrong with either. I’d keep the slate serti.

True. Things change. But I’m a 1970’s guy and regressing daily. :) I guess my view is overly nostalgic.

The 5 digit Serti is the best, truly a classic. I think you will regret it someday if you sold it. Btw nice flat 4 bezel.

The silver serti is a classic dial and they aren't making them anymore. Keep the 5 digit.

The Serti 5 digit Subs are for sale all over the place. You will have lots of competition unfortunately . Try to find a 6 Digit Diamond for sale ... not easy.
