The event was held last night at the Sage Gateshead, champagne reception and then a formal black tie meal. Presentation from Rolex management and then the watches were brought to the table.

Eight customers per table and five orders from our table. White gold GMT, a Sub, Rose Gold didn't quite catch what and a GMT II.

The food was excellent as was the service. Extremely well done and it did make you feel a little special.

Looking around the room and seeing the watches owned by the attendees was extremely interesting. I noted at least 5 Daytona Cs with white faces, excluding mine, Yacht Masters and the odd Blue Black. Many of the ladies were sporting yellow gold and diamonds.

All in all, a first class evening.

Thanks for sharing, great pictures too. I have Manchester’s event tomorrow, didn’t think it was a black tie meal, maybe I need to ring them tomorrow. Was going smart casual :)

So interested could you place orders there and then, assuming with your local AD in attendance? Or with the arrum group?

Also was going to give my AP RO an outing, hopefully that won’t be too offensive given I’m after the GMT

One could register one's interest in the Basel 2018. They also had a number of watches for sale.

The wearing of a AP may raise an eye brow, I found that those that didn't know you made no attempt to hide that they wanted to see what you had on your wrist.

Sorry to have missed the night as was coming back from a wedding abroad. Sounds like everyone had a great night, will hopefully be able to make the next event.

The wrist band was used to project the new launch watches onto your wrist using a tablet... wasn't the best.

Same for me, tried it tonight in Manchester and managed to get a 2 sec clip of a sub on my wrist, using this wrist band so a bit of a fail on that one.
