Icon20 Next purchase help

Hi all i currently own two lovely Rolex's but would love to add to my small collection.

Unfortunately the ladies offerings within the range are all so similar in style.

I currently have 177200 / 178273 basically one date and non date.

I have tried on larger watches even gents submariners but do look way too large.

So i would like to stick with around 31mm or close too so I'm hoping I've missed the obvious choice. All your recommendations will be gladly received.

Maria

Sorry don't seem to be able to post photos ???

I really like the 37mm YM. I saw one on a ladies wrist last weekend and was floored how good it looked on her. I disregarded my own rules for sharing my opinions with a complete stranger , but she was very kind and I think flattered I noticed her watch.

She had the TT/RG version with chocolate dial, but there is SS/PL and a RG/OF as well. Any are stunning and a nice change up from all the "similar" ladies offerings.

DJ 36, I bought for my wife with pink dial. Non-flutted bezel.

My wife loves her 35mm YM platinum dial. Discontinued a year or two ago, but still easy to find. Good value on a the pre-owned market. When shopping - she choose it over a 31mm....for what that's worth. Good luck in your search.

You could change things up a little by going with a dark dial, try the DJ 36 again this way, maybe with a smooth bezel. I think a blue dial in SS is stunning.

How about a Daytona? I see a lot of ladies wearing one. You should try it, it really has nice curves.
Are you using the app or website? In the app, you select one of the icons below (1st on your left takes photos. The second selects from your library).
Cheers.

Are you looking for a dress watch or more of a sports watch?

About a year ago I bought a Explorer Reference #114270 that was commandeered by my wife. She has a 5" wrist and just loves the 36mm Explorer.

I took a few wrist shots so you can get a feel for the proportions of the Explorer. She laughed when I came up to her a few moments ago and told her I need a few pictures of her watch.

From one lady to another she told me to tell you...
  • Simple and clean elegance that complements her ensemble
  • Easy to read no matter day or night
  • Stealth wealth, doesn't attract attention but is a Rolex through and through
  • Just wears extremely well

Why another Rolex? How about a different brand such as Cartier?

My wife has the 31mm. Extremely elegant and very versatile. Even though they have been discontinued, they are easy to find on the pre-loved market.

Hi Maria, take your time , keep your options open and have fun exploring...
If you don't mind, I'll just decorate your thread with photos of some of my watches (Top 1, 2), my dear friends, Mr. Richard Jones' wife (3,4,) and Superdoc's wife watches (5-11)

Something with a few diamonds. You deserve it.

I think many missed your point about sticking close to 31mm. So look for a pre-owned OP with a diamond dial or on a Lady DJ.

If you’re just bored with the looks of your current pair, maybe find a high quality diamond bezel for one of them.

Thank you Paul

I quite agree with your diamond DJ idea as this will offer something quite different to my small collection.

Thank you all for your help regarding my quest i must apologise for my late reply but I had to make sure my new purchase was 💯% right.

I've opted for a new Oystersteel with yellow gold 31 DJ Diamond reference 178383
With a stunning mother of pearl dial to which I'm hoping to show a little shades of pink but as most of you will already know every dial will be quite unique.

So now awaiting the call from my AD. Photos to follow.

Thank you once again for all your ideas plus the lovely photos

I think a Daytona comes across as both active and progressive in a lady’s wrist, in a feminine PM dial combination or SS white dial.

My mum sometimes wears my Daytona and it suits her very well. Its size is actually around 39 which is less than a Sub not mentioning the tighter lugs and slimmer. I'd go for one if I were you or at least try one in an AD.
Good hunting dear!
