1016 winding issue
Have not worn my 1016 in a few weeks, went to wind it up and after maybe 30 turns, got a lot of resistance - didn't want to wind anymore. Is this normal for an older Rolex, or could it be a movement issue?

Definitely isn't normal. I would get it serviced if you haven't had it done in a while.

I had a similar issue on my GMT where the self winding mechanism was not disengaging when Wound with the Crown.I could feel a slight whirring through the case back when resistance was felt on the Crown.

Update - so went to wind again after leaving it overnight, winded fine, but only gave it a few turns. Definitely odd and have contacted the person who serviced it - hopefully can get resolved soon.
