Called a few ADs in Taipei for BLNR...

Hi All,

I made the mistake of passing up the Batman GMT II in May of 2014 for MSRP, and have regretted since. Now that I am ready to pull the trigger, I decided to call a few ADs in Taipei to see what the wait situation is like. While most didn't commit a timeframe, one did say within 6 months, but they said a purchase of a Tudor is necessary. This is such BS and I can't believe ADs are pulling stuff like this. Even if I had enough funds and a Tudor I wanted, I still wouldn't do business with this AD. This is getting out of control! #EndRant

That said, I put my info down with 2 other ADs. Fingers crossed I'll get a call by 2020 without any purchasing history lol.

Wow, good luck with that! I'm thankful it's so much easier to get one in the U.S.

You got off lightly,Some AD’s are forcing PM Models at MSRP to get a hot sports model.A Nice Tudor is 1/10 of that price (4K vs 40K)

That is a new one. Buy a Tudor to get a Rolex ;)
You should visit some stores in Taipei in person. Some of them had a printout with pictures of sports watches which said no stock at their door! No fun Rolex shopping in Taipei/Taiwan.

6 months isn't too bad for Taiwan.

I was in Taipei a few months ago and visited most of the Rolex ADs there. The only sport models I found was a black dial Explorer 2 and Air-King.

Everything was two-tone and barely any decent PMs. Naturally I inquired on the Daytona and was told that it was "impossible for them to have inventory" for this model.

The Rolex boutique at Taipei 101 is BAD. Sales associates there think their sh*t is made of 24k gold and that customers are beneath them.
