Bracelet Question.
First post, great forum you guys have here!
I just picked up a 14060m, which suffers from old bracelet syndrome. Is it possible to swap a newer (SEL) bracelet onto this watch? Maybe just the clasp? I've Googled and searched on here, but I wasn't really able to find anything definitive. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! |

You could send your watch to a rolex service center and they will give you credit on your old bracelet for a new one. I got my bracelet replaced on my 6694 it cost me 345. thats around what a nice used one were selling for on ebay. I heard of places rebuilding the bracelet. Im sure someone more knowledgible then me will post. good luck

Rolex will not put a SEL bracelet on your 14060M because the watch was never sold with SEL.
You could do the bracelet swap thru Rolex but they'll put the same model bracelet and end links on it. You could find a SEL bracelet second hand on the sales corner. If it's just the clasp that's the problem, you could buy a new one from Rolex. To do a bracelet swap or get a new clasp, you'll have to send the watch to either 1) an authorized dealer or 2) a Rolex Service Center. |

So it will fit? Why couldn't I just swap them myself, why would I have to send it out?

Alternatively you could purchase what ever bracelet you want and put it on yourself. |

Your problem is not swapping it out yourself, it is actually getting hold of a newer bracelet... The part is not easily found in the USA.
The 14060M is one of the exceptions to the easy swap rule and you have to do a bit of modification on the bracelet end links to get the SEL model to fit.. 16610's, 16710's, and 16570's all swap out.

I have fit an SEL bracelet from a 16710 to my 14060M. It fits perfectly, the only problem is that the reference and serial numbers between the lugs are partially visible.

You should be able to get a genuine replacement 93150 for the late $300s.
There was one for sale recently in this place if I am not mistaken.
