It's good that they mentioned the detrimental effects of soaps and harsh detergents when it comes to cleaning. Hopefully more people make a note of that.

You’re kinda leaving out the “but only in enormous quantities” part of that statement.

Now maybe people will think twice before saying someone's freshly maintained 50M watch is not suitable for the pool but their 10year old sub that has never been WR tested is automatically more suited for the job.

I recently brought a brand new Seamaster 300 to wear as a daily because my Rolex needs to go off for a service and I didn't want to take it on holiday with me to a mates wedding in Greece.

I'm going Scuba diving while I'm there, bloke at work says to me "not going to wear that when your diving are you" to which I respond yes, "you spent 3k on a watch and your going diving in it". my response was, no. I spent 3k on a diving watch.

Didn't buy it because its a diving watch but seems only right to take it under water with me! certainly wont be going down to 300m thats for sure.
