Can't see it lasting. The WG one would be a better buy since the SS one has to settle a lot lower.. being identical in appearance save the bracelet everyone doesn't like.

I'm certainly not a buyer of a SS Rolex at that price.

I think the pepsi will be temporary before dropping to hulk or batman prices. I could see the daytona and skydweller staying up there indefinitely though.

Many people would rather upgrade to PM than pay those prices for SS. Can't really blame them.

I've said it a few years ago but I think 20k will be about the MSRP soon for many SS references including 500.

I thought I saw SS Sky-Ds (non-blue) priced around $15k, hardly over MSRP.

I think Gold and Platinum will commensurately go up, in about 10 years I'd guess rolex prices will double across the board and production slashed.

It seems to be. I won't pay it. I'll wait my turn at retail.
I can see the SkyD and Pepsi settling a little eventually (maybe) but who knows. No time soon for the Pepsi and the Daytona wouldn't surprise me to stay as is continue rising. Interesting times for sure. Many of us can remember days of 20-25% off retail on SS sport models (not including Daytona of course).

Not for me. I remember reading a comment years ago that Rolex is the best $2,000 watch you can buy for $6,000. I still think that's true, even though I just bought a brand new Explorer. But asking 3x that much for the same steel plus a few tweaks? Nah. PM, maybe.

i rather do a home renovation and capture that equity at a future date. Acquiring that watch at the beginning does nothing for me. It's either MSRP or slight Discount from MSRP for me. If the market commands a premium, i'm not in a desperate hurry to acquire a watch

Yep...Rolex needs to raise their MSRP price of all stainless steel. Waitlist goes down...watch will be on display...no more crying folks complaining about the waitlist...

You guys are living in a complete bubble if you think all Rolex SS is going to $20k . You do realize the average Rolex buyer needs to save for quite some time to even afford one? A normal Sub owner is absolutely not whipping around in his 911 and sipping fine wine, this forum is the .0001% with some of the guys on here. An extra $10k is not only a big deal to the average individual, it’s a complete deal breaker.

Absolutely, 100% no way are normal Sub and GMT going that high. Not enough people to fuel that kind of demand, not even close to it. Sure, there’s exceptions like the extremely limited DaytonaC, but it’s already $12k retail to begin with, and is an exception.

Then people will complain that the price of SS is not attainable for the normal watch population

10-20% will be fine and will help the current market. Especially if they start throwing he 32xx movement in all GMT and Subs. Nobody will complain then.

If you have 20K to spend on a GMT do yourself a favor and buy a Vintage Gilt GMT.It looks WAY better AND they aren’t making them anymore. They will continue to make the new Pepsi until every dollar is extracted from the Market.

Perfectly written.

I've been saying it a long time but I really hope the market goes back to normal and the people pushing these prices will take a big hit.

Greys are ruining the market.

People spending 20K on a watch...i don't think it matters if it's worth 10K after 5 or 10 years.

If people are using their life saving on a watch, then they're in the wrong hobby LOL. This hobby is not for everyone...

If Pepsi is going for 21K, then Daytona ceramic is cheap :) . Daytona Ceramic >>>>> Pepsi.
