Datejust 41 in Zurich
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and have been reading many threads to educate myself. My summer trip took me to Switzerland and I stopped by the local AD this morning in Zurich. They are offering the Datejust 41, Model 126334, with oyster bracelet, rhodium dial, with the baton markers for 8900 Swiss Francs. I also will get a VAT refund of 7.7% I can use a credit card and pay in Swiss Francs as the credit card company will give me a better exchange rate than what they are offering 0.9505 per US Dollar. What are your thoughts on this deal? Thanks

So... if my math is correct, you are getting it for basically $8400 USD. Basically 1 grand below MSRP. 12% discount.
Feels right. Probably aren't going to do better than that. |

This is for the 18k flutted bezel and the jubilee band is 100 Swiss Francs more. My credit card company is offering 0.98 per dollar. Thanks for the info.

He’s asking if we think it’s a good deal or he can do better. He does not own a watch asking us to place a value on it. These type of threads pop up on TRF daily, why comment on this one? OP-Supply is dry on SS models and even Datejusts are becoming hard to discount. I think it’s a fair deal. If you have a credit card with perks/points, don’t forget to take this into the equation too. 9,000 points is another free $100 on most credit cards. Plus, you’ll have a watch to remember your vacation |

.
8900 chf is the official Swiss MSRP for a 126334 on Oyster , 9000 chf on Jubilee. 7.7% is standard VAT in Switzerland. No surprise ... |

I was in Zurich Bucherer last week and they didn’t offer any discounts on their DJs, however the one in Lucerne offered me 5% off. I ultimately passed on it as they didn’t have the colour I wanted but the short train ride down there might be worthwhile - plus it is lovely there.
