I went the opposite direction. Sold my Pepsi 16710 and got a new BLNR. I realize that I'm in a small minority, but I like the 6-digit GMTs better than the 5-digit ones.

Be owned both. I sold my Pepsi and still have the BLNR. But honestly I could have gone either way. Best bet is to just own both!

I’d trade my 16750 Pepsi with a wonderful patina for your BLNR. It comes with jubilee and original box, but no paper. (I’m an airline pilot so she has flown!). Watch dates from 1984, serial visible, service done last November.

Almost same boat. But looking for the 5digit Rootbeer instead. I like the older case dimensions if it’s a GMT.

I’d say go for it. The modern Rolex can easily be reacquired.

No way. I’d keep the BLNR.

The 16710 gets my vote. The nicest one in my small collection..

16710.

If you're not 100% sold on the PCLs on the BLNR, it's something that'll always be at the back of your mind when you look at it.

Love threads like this. I bought my 16710 almost 4 years ago when my son was born to give to him one day. Glad I bought when I did because it has pretty much doubled in value. I would say you should make the trade. I love the character of the 16710 and the ability to swap the bezels.

I would, as the lugs, polished links, and maxi appear out of proportion to me on the BLNR.

So I sold the BLNR and bought the Pepsi 16710. I liked the BLNR very much; but I'm glad I did it. I love everything about the 5 digit Pepsi.

I appreciate all of your comments.

I'm enjoying mine too, congrats on your 16710. As cool as the Batman is its still not a classic 16710.

Get the one you like, you have to wear it. Personally I prefer 6 digits.

If you do trade it for a 16710, get one with a full set. There are plenty around. Wait for the right one. A BLNR with full set is more valuable. If you had done this even last last year you could've picked one up for $7k-$8k. There's a lot of speculation going on right now and much of this is due to current 126710 market price. If that price falls the 16710s will also. As nice as the GMT is it is no Daytona in the watch world.
