Show me your dings!

Ok, to help me with my therapy sessions having stupidly dinged my 16710 grail while trying to change the bezel. I thought I’d ask about dings (not scratches!). This post is all about pictures. Let’s see those dings! I’ll go first! Bottom right lug - still kicking myself. Thanks!

I did the same thing my friend. Had a mint full kit 16710. I was changing the bezel insert because it had coke on it and the guy that bought it from me (for 12kCAD) wanted the original back on. As I was doing it the watch dropped out of my hands. Both lugs gashed. And it also hit the floor putting a slight bend and gash on the bottom right corner of the lug. After that the oyster bracelet didn’t fit anymore. I ended up selling it to the same guy for $9500CAD (7300USD) and included an additional mint jubilee bracelet in the deal. Took a Huge hit and massive heart break.

Hope this makes you feel better lol

I scratched one of my watches while peeling off the stickers when new. We all bleed the same blood.

I guess I’ll have to start taking “ding” shots so I have some handy! I don’t have any images but I’ve dented a bunch of watches. That’s the life of a tool watch! Cheers for starting this thread.

Thanks guys. I already feel better from seeing these (this will help lower the costs with my therapist to allow me to save for a Daytona or another 16710 that I hopefully won't treat in the same way!).

Anyone else? Come on! There has to be a few more out there...

Oh man, I feel real bad for you on that one! That's a bummer!
