Retiring an old friend/changing of the guard

This... is a sad/happy time for me today. After (I think) three years of devoted and loyal service, I have to retire a dear companion and protector. One that has guarded this handsome face of mine from sun/wind/rain... it’s time to be laid to rest. I’m... I’m sorry, I promised myself I wouldn’t get emotional but... well, you all understand. All the hours my companion and I have been together on walks, hikes, metal detecting ventures, ALWAYS there and always protecting (my incredibly good looking) skin. Sigh.... It is the cycle of life

BUT! Thanks to Vanessa, I have a new, young companion to take over the reigns Yes, Vanessa CW21 sent me my new friend a while ago. We are getting to know each other, these bonds take time to mature, but it is progressing. So far, this companion has proven to be as loyal and as protecting as my old one. So.... I guess I’ll just say this is a happy day.

I don't know Paul. I like the vintage model with patina better than the modern version. Plus..soon as you wear the new one it's value witll plummet.

just my opinion but your breitling cap is kind of cool. less ostentatious & somewhat cryptic in its own way.

Agree. The vintage cap is just getting broken in. The patina will only get better from here.

The new one is nice and kudos to Vanessa. But the old one is classic, broken in, and just cooler.

IMHO

New>Old in this case. As someone above said, less ostentatious.

I see you’ve already taken the stickers off! Congrats. Wishing you many healthy years with the new piece. I’m sure your skin will still be protected. Take care. :))
