5 days post-op

On July 3rd I had a right total knee replacement. It's been a brutal recovery so far, but I'm trying to stay positive
Just wanted to stop by and say hi

best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I imagine you will probably be having some rehab/physical therapy later down the road.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You are a youngster, so should heal quickly. What prompted you for a complete knee replacement? Tell your husband you deserve tons of extra TLC!! Are you still in the US? Or back to Belgium? Cheers!

Still in the U.S. for now. My husband is home with me for a couple of weeks, treating me like a queen
The surgeons decided this was the best course of action. I've had 6 surgeries in this knee before, dating back 20 to 2 years, and there wasn't anything left to do to fix it.
I'm 38, so this wasn't a light decision from either parties.

Let us know which Loctite was used on the screws.

You're certainly taking it all in stride. My left knee is shot. I fear this surgery.

All the best,

Randy

I am not gonna lie, I was scared as hell to do this surgery. I actually canceled it the first time around, almost 2 years ago. I walked every day with a brace for over 2 years and I was just over that! It was time to get it done and quit the excuses. I did it! Now we'll have to wait and see if it was the smartest decision. It's too early to tell, that's for sure!

Best wishes on the recovery. My mom went through that last year and her knee is great now. You'll be happy in a few weeks/months when getting around becomes much easier.
