With a little help from my friends who love bacon: Incoming...

Thanks to everyone who replied to my poll posted today; poll participants overwhelmingly indicated that a new 116710BLNR (Batman) at MSRP was a wise choice over a TT Bluesy priced at MSRP - 10%. Since I like both watches equally well, the poll decided which I would purchase. I called my AD back and said I would take the 116710BLNR.

Interestingly... serendipity appears to have played a role in me getting the call today about the 116710BLNR. My salesperson happened to be working today and she took delivery of a shipment of watches from Rolex. As she opened the shipment, she saw the 116710BLNR, knew I wanted one, and gave me a call. I don’t know if my AD keeps lists, but if they do, I do not think my salesperson checked it. I think she really looks out for me since I have purchased a PM Daytona and a Hulk from her already (the hulk went to another forum member here (for MSRP)).

As luck would have it, I am here in Arizona right now visiting my family so my AD is shipping the watch to me without charging tax.... which makes paying MSRP for the 116710BLNR a bit easier to swallow.

As a side note, I visited an AD here in Arizona today just to see if they had any stainless steel watches, and they did not have a single stainless steel Rolex watch. I asked if they had anything in the back, that I could see, even if I could not buy it. The salesperson indicated they did not have a single stainless steel Rolex in the back.

I am excited to receive my new 116710BLNR this Thursday. Thanks again to everyone who responded to my poll.

Joe

And now I see you are already trying to flip the BLNR on the For Sale section

Guess the OP came on here to create “hype” for any of the two watches he chose.

Welcome to the “new” TRF( The ROLEX Flippers).

At least this is a trade offer and not a mercenary price mark up, altho the trade offer might be priced at grey levels.

Personally I hope he is blacklisted by his AD. They likely have no idea he is just buying SS pieces to turn around and flip. Maybe the college professor gig isn't working out and he wants to join the trusted watch seller profession

Weird to say the least. OP liked both watches so much needed to create a poll to decide which to buy, then creates post on how great it is to receive it, while simultaneously deciding its time for something new. Just strange.... but not really anymore. A good portion of this forum only wants these watches because they are hard to get and sell for a premium. It’s not about the watch it’s about the hype (or profit$). If steel sport rolex depreciated as much as PM they wouldn’t be hard to find and half the members on here would vanish.

Why post about which watch to get if you are just looking for maximum trade value over MSRP? Isn't a simple look at grey prices more on point?

I’m calling BS.

Nobody makes a poll to decide whether to get a BLNR, gets the watch and then flips it.

These posts (and pledge membership) are more likely designed to give credible back story to the watches put up for sale.

I have no idea what the OP's M.O. is. He seems to be using the forum and members opinions just to help himself flip watches. Bizarre
