Fake eBay listing using my pictures
Hi all,
Another forum member alerted me to the fact that this listing is using my pictures. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160300178076 I can't remember who it was, but I know one of you guys has a contact at eBay right? I just reported it, but if this listing can get shutdown sooner that would be better as there are bidders. Thanks, Peter

LOL! I love how he discriminates against people that have 0 feedback, when he himself has... 0 feedback! The best is where he describes the camera he took the shots with.

Resolution
I FINALLY got an e-mail from eBay saying that the listing had been cancelled by them - only 8 DAYS AFTER THE LISTING ENDED. Umm...yeah. Good job eBay, way to protect your customers....
Never did hear back from the seller. The worst thing about eBay ending the listing is that I didn't even get to leave negative feedback! The guy also sold a $1700 laptop around the same time: http://cgi.ebay.com/MACBOOK-PRO-17-H...160301125208QQ eBay used to show the ID of the winning bidder so that one could make contact and warn them, but since it is all anonimized now, you can't do that. I hope the buyer didn't get screwed. It is shameful that eBay didn't take quicker action and/or ban the seller and cancel all of his auctions after being informed of fraud by the owner of the photos..... |

I did contact someone regarding the watch. You should be fine without having negative feedback. Hopefully he got the message that Big Brother is watching.
For every one we catch there is probably several that slip through the cracks though. Thanks to all who have made this an important mission to help keep the scammers at bay. Terry Newton
