Rolex Datejust 41 126333 and Two-Tone Yellow Gold
Hello everyone,
I am new to the site and I really enjoy hearing from people with similar passions. I had a question. In the past month since I found this site, I haven't seen any posts on the Rolex Datejust 41 (ref number 126333) with the champagne dial and the jubilee bracelet. However, I have seen many posts on the new Two-Tone Root Beer watch in the Everose gold. Do Rolex buyers just not like two-tone in yellow gold and Rolex is trying to start a new trend with the Everose gold on the Root Beer? I have seen both watches and they are fantastic. Also, I own a BLNR and Datejust 41 with a jubilee and fluted silver dial that is also very nice. Just curious if you think two-tone yellow gold may become popular again or if you think Rolex is shifting to Everose gold and putting on sports watches to build demand for two-tone watches? I look forward to hearing your thoughts. |

It's always been popular despite what you might read on a forum. Personally, I'm not a fan of the TT sport models (my view is if you want gold on a sport model, get a solid yellow gold Sub or GMT, preferably the 5 digit reference as they are far more elegantly proportioned IMO.
But the classic TT DJ? Big yes. I'd avoid the champagne dial because it can be hard to read, especially as your eyes get older. I had mine switched to silver but white might have even been better. I only like the baton markers so there were some limits on what I could get. |

I think the 126333 is a mainstay of the Rolex lines. In fact, the only DJ41 I have spotted in the wild so far was that model on a Jubilee bracelet with a fluted bezel and a Champagne stick dial.
I have a personal preference for rose gold on Rolex watches because my complexion darkens a lot in the summer, and that rose gold looks great against skin when my forearms, wrists and hands are a deep, reddish brown! |
