Likely the most spot on for this site. I'll just add that you also don't post to complain about the cyclops.

Worth the read...says it all.

Three Sisters in their 80’s live together.

First Sister heads upstairs to draw herself a bath. As she steps into the tub she says out loud for the others to hear, “now, was I getting into the tub or out of it”?

Second Sister tells her to wait so she can come upstairs to check. As she’s half way up the stairs she yells out, “now, was I heading up or down the stairs”?

Third Sister yells out, “for crying out loud you two, do I have to take care of everything around here? Hopefully I’ll never get as bad as you two”. She knocks on wood for good measure...”ok... I’ll be right up as soon as I answer the door”!

I'm only 34.5, and I can relate to many of these...

My hearing sucks, my back hurts, I'd rather drink on my back porch than go out (I've got better booze...), I hate crowds (and people in general), and would rather be on the golf course than anything else!

On top of it all, even people older than me call me Sir! (that's a military joke...)

How about Floppy disks, or Eight Track Tapes, or better yet 78 records?

Yep, but I picked 78 because if I remember correctly 78 was even more dated. Vaguely ember having a phonograph player capable of running at both speeds.

You think that’s bad? How about no air conditioning? I used to lie in bed sweating just wishing I could go to sleep.

Good luck finding anyone with AC at home in Europe, this isn't America.

I sleep in an attic bedroom and with the current summer (30-38c) my bedroom is a comfy 32c most nights. Sticking to the mattress, drowning in sweat.
I do sleep quite well though despite the heat.

The only two places we have air conditioning is at work and in the car.

Ah, I did wondered how that might translate Since I was stationed in Germany however I didn’t have air conditioning there either, but I don’t remember it being hot enough that it was an issue.

Yeah 89f would be a bit warm without air conditioning.

Most summers it's no issue but this one is extreme for our standards.
I can see why most Americans living in places with brutal summers have AC, nothing wrong with that, it was invented for a reason of course
