Help with purchase on new watch in Vancouver BC

I've read the forums for a while and have found very good information from here, this is a good forum to have.

2 years ago I got a black SS Daytona at Palladio Vancouver. Now I am looking to purchase a rolex lady datejust 26 steel and yellow gold, diamond, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet, white dial or mother of pearl dial (ref 179173) for the wife.

I was able to get my watch with the tax included. Now the person I dealt with is on sick leave and was told no idea when she is coming back and the person I am dealing now seams to say they don't discount now as prices are going to increase Mid March. The person I dealt with before told me that if I wanted a two tone back then, then she could get me a better discount. If anyone can connect me to the right person in the Vancouver area, please send me a PM, I would greatly appreciate it. I know there is also Montecristo in downtown Vancouver or Oakridge mall. I am planning to purchase this or next weekend.

you should be able to get atleast 15% off of a TT watch, especially in Canada. From my experience 20-25% is not unheard of.

I would drive to other authorized dealers in your area. They will likely not discuss discounts over the phone.

Forum member Eric Chan is in the Vancouver area, and is very familiar with the local Rolex authorized dealers. He may be able to recommend a good store.

Rumours are firming up for a mid-March price increase for Rolex in Canada, in the range of 7% - 10%, so they may be reluctant to discount off of the current pricing.

Another point to consider is that you're looking for a very specific reference and configuration - it may not be in stock at too many stores, limiting your negotiating options...

You are right about the specific reference. From my experience AD use price increase rumors to encourage people to buy! They still have the same margin for sale regardless of price increase right?

Discount is tougher due to low stock and price increase but good luck. Pm me if you need a contact from an AD.

Saw a discontinued white gold Daytona 116519, slate dial and black leather strap. Almost traded my 2yr old SS black Daytona for the white gold, but did not push thru as I would still have to add another 18k.

Thanks to Eric for helping a new member to get a deal on the watch at an AD.

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, but not new to the world of Rolex. I've purchased a couple of datejust models from Palladio, but now they are being very difficult and are not willing to move on pricing any longer.

I'm looking to buy a lady datejust for my wife as an anniversary present and am hoping someone has a contract in Vancouver where I can reach out too.
