It seems that there are two group of people, like hug the character or fix it right away. I am the one who is more concern about the movement. Thanks for your words which makes me feel much better. 从我的 iPhone 发送,使用 Tapatalk |

Dropped my SD43 at 2 months of age. Started losing 8 sec/day. Sent it in to RSC Dallas. They were great and even though my fault they serviced it at no charge “this one time”. Send it in, avoid any further potential movement damage.

If your movement was damaged you’d see some irregular timekeeping by now. I think it survived just fine. The lug is rashed but that could wait IMHO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

IIRC Rolex gives independent dealers/ Watchmakers a +/- 7 sec to fall within standards. But I could be wrong also. But at 5 sec a day I wouldn’t stress it. My 16610 was running -19 S/D after 10 years of no service and multiple dives and beating the crap out of it. But now running at -3 S/D

I just got the call from RSC LA. They told me that even though the movement was affected by the drop, they will still do the movement regulation free of charge. Thanks for all people’s advice. Keep working and buy a Rolex!

I would have done the same thing OP. I think lower left lug where i couldn’t see it, wouldn’t bother me. Right there front and center, ya i would be constantly looking at it. Hope it comes back fast!

That's a big ding for a fairly new watch. I would get it laser welded.

I would obsess over a dent that large, so I would send it to a RSC.
