I own and really like the Tudor Black Bay S&G. It is a very good, very accurate and in my opinion very good looking watch, and it’s really up to you which one looks better or suits you more. But in my experience the bracelet of the Rolex is significantly better. Glidelock is an awesome feature you will miss, and the Tudor clasp will rub against and wear away one of the gold center part of a link on the bracelet and it doesn’t adjust as well. However it is certainly not uncomfortable. I’d suggest you make sure to compare how the two bracelets work for you before you decide based on looks or novelty.
I don’t own a TT Sub so I cant compare the feeling of looking at one on my wrist, and I do love my B.B. S&G but I’d be surprised if you didn’t miss the sub after that trade. |

I’d go with your gut of giving the sub a few more weeks and If the itch is still there, then buy what makes you happy... and if that happens to also save you some dough, icing on the cake! Good luck

Just brush the Sub bracelet? Unless you need the money out of the Sub this is a baaaaad move.

I like the look of that TT Tudor and I am beginning to think that Rolex .........

You just need to wear your sub some more, in time the gold will be brushed and less bling. My 16613 seri center linksare brushed from wear. No shine at all! By the way you are crazy trading a rolex for tudor if money is not a factor.

I have owned the S&G for the past 6-7 months, and while I have never been a fan of gold, when I saw the Tudor, I had to have it, mainly because of the look the brushed gold provides. That being said, I did just trade it off for a grail, the Polar Rolex Explorer 16570. I do plan on buying another sometime in the future to take care of the gold factor in my collection. It's really the only two-tone watch I would buy (purely my opinion, of course). I would post a picture I took but I can't post links yet.

I have owned both and would not trade the TT Submariner for the TT Tudor. Two completely different watches. Now if you were to trade the TT Submariner for another watch that you wanted, like a PM or sought after SS, then you could add the TT Tudor back in to cover that look. I don't see this as an either or option unless it is about the money.

Wow thanks for the replies guys! I wasn't subscribed so I didn't get any email notifications.
I'm in the process of selling the black dial and have worked a deal for a Smurf dial. My wife agrees that it's probably the black dial, I'm just bored with it. Every watch, other than my white dial DJ, has been black. So I'm going to give the Smurf a try. Worst case, I flip and try something else. Thanks for the feedback everyone....happy Friday and I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
