MVMT watches bought by Movado Group

Wow

$200 million price tag for MVMT in 5 years?
Great job for a watch company that less watches less than $200 :)

Good for the founders. And now they will be able to afford proper watches :-)

This. I don't see MVMT staying popular for long, even with Movado pumping money into it after it starts to fade. MVMT and Movado's other recent acquisition, Olivia Burton, are fad brands.

My first nice watch was a Movado Esperanza....still have the watch 10 years later.

However Movado all but abandons older watches after a couple of years; there are no replacement parts available.

A watchmaker (from Movado) serviced my watch and the dial now has drag marks...apparently there's nothing I can do though because they don't have any spare dials left.

I'll never buy another one of their products again, despite absolutely loving their design.

I'm glad so many entrepreneurs are cutting out the middleman and directly selling quartz watches with a higher markup than a Richard Mille
