Do you regret flipping your SubC?
Curious to hear how members that have flipped a SubC are getting on.
Do you regret it? Why did you flip? What did you end up with and why? Are you looking to add it again to your collection at some point? |

I had a SubC and traded it for a BLNR.
It’s the best watch move I’ve ever made and love the BLNR. Whilst the SubC was a great watch it just felt “boring” and now I always buy watches with a bit of colour (Blnr, JC, Hulk, Pepsi). The traditionalists can’t see past a black sub but I’ve not looked back and don’t miss mine. |

I wouldn’t consider it a flip... but after owning my LVc for 2.5 years I sold it in a momentary lapse of reason to raise funds for a 5712.
And here we are a few months later and guess what’s back in the stable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Flipped three subc last couple of years. Two 116613lb and one 114060.
Got two subc right now, one 116618 and one 116610. Dont regret anything, that is not how I live

Never owned a sub, but I did regret selling my 16600 SD. So I bought the 116600 SD4K earlier this year.

Well, previously I thought that It was a big mistake to sell my previous ND. Now I start to consider that it was the right choice. I like very much the 6 digit piece, and fits me better + Glidelock is perfect.

I came close to doing it a few times but never did, it was my first rolex and has a lot of sentimental meaning to me!

nope.
While I like them and appreciate all that they are, I am happier with the 14060M it got moved for. The way I see it is that the pre 6 digits are classy tool watches still showing the original pedigree - I felt the 114060 was more or less a robust fashion statement. It's not the case in reality but its how I felt. I'm odd in the since that my ideal sub would have matte everything on it. |

Bought a Sub C last November and received my new BLNR a couple days ago. I contemplated selling the Sub C but at the end of the day I couldn't get myself to part with it. I have decided to keep both, especially with the SS shortage. I know I would regret it in the long run.

I’m in the process of selling a gold sub and potentially looking at a Batman. Daytona looks good but still too expensive

Not like I haven’t tried to get away from it. I’ve tried BLNR’s EXPII’s a SD4K...even tried going back to 5 digit a handful of times. Came close to a DJ 41 on Jubilee last month. All of the above are great watches. I prefer a Submariner as my go to. If you miss the 114060 you know what must be done

Sold my 114060 and bought a 116610ln to replace it. Should’ve done that from the beginning, don’t miss the Nd at all. Black SubC date is as classic as a modern Rolex can get and I don’t see myself selling it for a long time.

Yes back when they first came out. Went back to 4/5 digit models. LOL, currently have 116613LB and 114060 and love the modern Sub. I am a slow learner. If the market ever corrects itself, I will add the LV. What can be better than LN, LB and LV Subs in one stable? I guess PM versions.....

Let's start by definition, a Sub C is a 114060. Sub C Date, Sub C LV, Sub C Bluesy, and Sub C Smurf are all different watches IMHO. I traded away my Sub C because it felt awkward on my 6.5in. wrist. Now I've got a SD4K (116600) which I find infinitely more appealing.

I sold my LVc a few years ago to fund the WG Sub. WG Sub is now gone but I added the LVc this past spring. So, yes I did regret it a bit.

Have thought about trading the Sub ND (on black Everest strap, never really used the stock bracelet)... but somehow every time i wear the Sub it feels like a keeper. A true bang-the-snot out of it watch for anything you wanna throw at it.

As much as I like the SubC I sold mine to obtain a Pre C model (4 liner Z series), no regrets so far.

For me, the Submariner is Rolex.
So no, would never sell my Submariner for as long as I live. |

Traded a Subc (114060) for a LVc plus cash. I still miss my Subc (First Rolex), but when I look at my LVc I feel better. Actually thinking of picking up another Subc, LN, or maybe a Polar exp II. Right now Exp II is at top of the list. Really want a WG sub (Smurf), but can't justify the cost yet..
